Born in Paris, French-American soprano Laura Holm is earning a reputation as a young soprano to keep an eye on, with a sensitive stage presence and a luminous and delicate voice.

Holm has eclectic musical taste, shown by the diversity of her repertoire: performing as a soloist in programs ranging from baroque to contemporary music, in a variety of concert halls in and outside of Paris and France such as Salle Pleyel, Cité de la Musique, Théâtre du Châtelet, Notre-Dame Cathedral, Warsaw Philharmony, she met conductors like Paavo Jarvi, Patrick Fournillier, Lionel Sow, David Reiland and Tito Ceccherini.

She sings recitals accompanied by Anne Le Bozec and Mark Davies and has sung many oratorios, including several versions of Mozart's Requiem and Coronnation Mass at Salle Gaveau.

With a voice “made of velvet and fire”, recent appearances on stage include Pamina in Die Zauberflöte, Sheherazade in Howard Moody's Sindbad at the Paris Philharmony, Chantal in Eotvös’s Le Balcon, die Junge Frau (the young woman) in Reigen by Philippe Boesmans, “the Archangel Gabriel” in La Vierge by Jules Massenet at Notre-Dame de Paris Cathedral, Sequenza III by Luciano Berio at the Cité de la Musique in Paris, and Ismene in Mozart’s Mitridate, Re di Ponto. Lauretta in Gianni Schicchi by Puccini at the National Opera House in Nancy (Opéra de Lorraine). With a particular orientation towards promoting contemporary music, Laura recently premiered Adonaïs by Bruno Ducol and Désarmés, Cantique by Alexanders Markeas, and took part in Coro by Berio. She was recently invited to perform Sheherazade in Howard Moody's Sindbad, a journey through living flames, at the Paris Philharmony, and Elle in Alexandros Markeas' world premiere Désarmés, Cantique, before returning to the Lille Opera as 1rst maid in Zemlinsky's The Dwarf.

After earning a Master’s Degree in sound engineering at the Paris National Conservatory of Music (CNSMDP), Laura chose to study classical singing, with Chantal Mathias. She graduated in 2014 from the Paris National Conservatory with a Master’s Degree with honors.

In 2018/19, Holm will perform King David by Honegger in Angers and Nantes, the 1rst maid in Zemlinsky's The Dwarf in Caen, before returning to the Paris Philharmony in Euphonia, a original show based on Berlioz' music. In June, she will sing her first Ilia (Idomeneo, Mozart) in Paris.
